Flockle Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 10, 2026
Flockle is a daily social prediction game. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Plain language, no surprises.
Who we are
Flockle (“we”, “us”) is operated by Andy Liang. Questions or requests: andyliang810@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Account. Flockle accounts are anonymous and tied to your device — there is no email address, password, or phone number. We never ask for contact details.
- Profile. Your chosen username and avatar. Your username and avatar are visible to other players (for example, in friend lists).
- Gameplay content. The answers you submit to daily prompts, your guesses, your scores and streak, any prompt ideas you suggest, and your friend connections.
- A device identifier. A random ID generated and stored on your device that connects your device to your account. It is not an advertising ID and is not used for tracking across other apps or websites.
- Basic usage events. In-app events (for example, “answer submitted”, “round completed”) so we can understand how the game is used and improve it.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or precise device sensors, and we do not use advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.
How your content is shown to others
Flockle is a shared game, so some content you create is shown to other players:
- Your daily answers contribute to the next day’s guessing round. After a round, answers are shown grouped into popular themes, and a few example responses may be displayed without your name attached.
- Your username, avatar, answers (once a round is over), and scores are visible to people you have added as friends.
Who we share data with (service providers)
- Supabase — our backend and database host, which stores your account and gameplay data on our behalf.
- Groq — the daily answers for a prompt are sent to Groq’s language-model API to group similar answers into themes. Only the answer text is sent; it is not sent with your username or account ID.
We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account (see below), your account and all associated gameplay data are permanently removed.
Your choices
- Delete your account. In the app, go to Profile → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account, answers, scores, streak, and friends. It cannot be undone. Because your account lives on your device, uninstalling the app without deleting the account leaves it inaccessible — email us if you’d like it removed.
- Access or questions. Email us at andyliang810@gmail.com and we’ll help.
Children
Flockle is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above and, for significant changes, note it in the app.
